The Macau Youth Tennis Academy seeks to develop and promote the sport of tennis in Macau, through early detection of talent and nurturing of young children and teenage tennis players who show potential and commitment. In order to recruit new students with potential to the Academy, a selection day will be held on November 29, 2015.

All participants will be required to conduct a physical fitness and tennis skill tests, and potential candidates will be assessed according to their performance by qualified coaches. The results of the testing day will be published on December 11, 2015 on the Macau Sport Development Board website (www.sport.gov.mo) as well as displayed on the notice board of the Tennis Academy. Candidates who are admitted must fill out an application form, available on the Macau Sport Development Board website or from the Lobby of the Bowling Centre, and submit together with a copy of the Macau ID card, a recent photograph and admission fee of MOP 150.- at Macau Sport Development Board office by 17:45 on 17 December 2015.

Target group：Macau residents born between 2002 and 2011

Time and Date：November 29, 2015 from 14.30 till 17.00

Dress Code：Sportswear and Sports Shoes

Admission Fee：MOP$150.00

Coaches：Experienced and qualified coaches from the Macau Tennis Association

Equipment：Tennis balls and rackets are provided

Course duration：Classes will run from January 4 until December 18, 2016

Additional information：

1. Students must comply with the rules and regulations of the Academy as well as instructions of the coaches. Repeated offences may result in a student being expelled from the Academy.
2. Students who arrive 5 minutes after the start of class will be considered absent. 3 absences may result in the student being expelled from the Academy.
3. Application will be deemed valid only after receipt of completed application form with parents’ or guardian’s signature as well as a medical certificate showing a clean bill of health.
4. In case of bad weather, classes will be cancelled to ensure students’ safety.
5. Neither class reschedules nor refund will be offered in case of absence of a student or cancellation due to bad weather.
