Due to the effect of the typhoon, sports facilities under the Public Sports Facilities Network of the Sports Bureau were damaged to different extent. In consideration of public safety, facilities have been temporarily closed for inspection and evaluation.  Cleaning and maintenance will be carried out in progress, so that operation of facilities will be resumed as soon as possible.

After some repairing, some of the sports facilities under the Sports Bureau will be reopened to the public from August 29 (Tuesday), enabling the public to continue to practice exercises for improving their physical fitness. For more information on the reopening of the facilities, please refer to the attached document.

The remaining sports facilities are currently under inspection and maintenance to ensure that all facilities shall be in a safe condition for public use.  The date of reopening of the facilities will be announced in due course.
