The sports scene in Macao was particularly lively this summer as the Chinese Olympic Gold Medalists who had just earned outstanding results in the London Olympic Games visited Macao to share their successes and happiness. Our local athletes also represented the Macao S.A.R. to compete in the 9th University Games of The People’s Republic of China, the 46th International Children’s Games as well as the London 2012 Paralympic Games, among other events. The athletes showed no fear in facing their strong opponents, fighting hard to compete and obtaining good results. Readers can learn more about their achievements through this issue.

This season’s ‘Sport for All” activities were equally splendid, with the Macao Recreational Festival, Summer Activities as well as Macao Elderly Sports Day, in addition to the Public Entities Sports Festival. Readers can feel and appreciate the sports charm these activities exude.
In order to enhance the public’s understanding and knowledge of the “Sport for All Fitness and Recreational Classes”, in the last issue, we began to introduce the main features and benefits of the “Sport for All Fitness and Recreational Classes” to provide readers with ideas on how to properly choose the sports events that are appropriate to them. In this issue, we will introduce to the readers about the aquatic activities available in the “Sport for All Fitness and Recreational Classes” which include swimming, water walking and synchronized swimming.
