Organized by the Macao China Bowling Association (MCBA), sanctioned by the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) and sponsored by the Macao Sport Development Board, the 2013 Macao China International Open Tenpin Bowling Championships and Asian Bowling Federation Tour Macao Leg was held at the Cotai International Bowling Centre from June 11th -20th.
The Championship had Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Open and Graded Division, Youth and Senior Division (Mixed), local athletes were also encouraged to join the Macao competition which was especially designed for local participation. The ABF tour Macao leg this year had Men’s and Women’s Singles (Open and Graded) plus Youth and Senior Division (Mixed). The event attracted more than a hundred athletes from 12 countries and regions including Australia, Korea, Malaysia, China, Chinese Taipei, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Hong Kong China and Macao China.
After a pitched battle, Macao bowler Lee Tak Man defeated Chinese Taipei’s Cheng Hsing-Chao and claimed the Men’s title on the ABF Tour leg. On the other side, local female athlete Dias de souza, Veronica was unfortunately, beaten by Thai athlete Angkana Netrviseth and took the first runner-up at the final.
