Organised by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau and co-organised by the Macao Sport Development Board, the Marine and Water Bureau, and several Macao associations, the ‘May Day Concert at Ha Sac Beach’ was held on 1st May at Ha Sac Beach in Coloane. The event allowed city people to pause from their busy lives before the summer to relieve the stress, while shaping up their physical and mental health, and promoting the harmonious parent-child relationship.
The ‘May Day Concert at Ha Sac Beach’ invited a number of famous singers from Taiwan plus local pop talent, whose enthusiastic singing and dancing performances created a climactic atmosphere; following the performance, the singers played games with the audience on the beach, making the temperature even hotter!
Besides the great performances, participants indulged in a variety of recreational activities, including beach games, painting workshop for children, remote control car experience, game booths, aquatic activities (banana boat, jetski, flying buoy and sailboat) as well as ‘beach football tournament’, ‘beach volleyball tournament’, ‘beach handball tournament’, ‘beach treasure hunt, and ‘sand sculpting competition’. In addition, a booth was set up on-site to promote beach safety and knowledge, and to raise public awareness of beach safety by playing games.
The large scale concert and series of beach activities were widely enjoyed by the public, with wonderful music, aquatic activities and family workshop, filling this holiday with memories and fun.
