To celebrate the arrival of the “Ding You” Year of the Rooster, the Sports Bureau and the Sports Committee of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions co-organized a “Lion Dance Show”. The event was held at the Senado Square and the Tap Seac Square on the 3^rd and the 4^th day of the first month of the Lunar New Year (30^th and 31^st January) respectively. There were traditional lion dance and martial arts performances, which attracted a number of residents. 

    Local lion dance groups from different associations such as the Workers' Martial Arts Association, the Lo Leong Sports General Association, the Workers' Leisure and Sports Association, the Wai Hong Sports Association, and the Association of the Dragon and Lion Dance Culture Promotion attended the event. During the show, the hosts introduced the history and culture of lion arts to the people on the site, promoting sports related to dragon and lion dance to the public. Apart from dragon and lion dance, there were also many sessions demonstrating martial arts performances, which enriched the jubilant atmosphere of the Spring Festival.
