Under the framework specified in the “Letter of Intent on Sichuan-Macao Sports Exchange and Co-operation”, Sichuan and Macao have been holding exchange activities of sports and mutual visitations for nine consecutive years. “Sichuan – Macao Youth Sports Exchange Activities” were held in Macao from 16 to 19 April, when both sides engaged in sports exchange and competitive leisure activities in track and field, tennis, table tennis and martial arts events.

The said activities were held at the Tennis Academy, Olympic Sports Centre – Stadium, Macao East Asian Games Dome, and Martial Arts Youth Academy. The sports departments of these two regions upheld the essence of the Letter of Intent, creating a platform where teenagers from Sichuan and Macao can learn from each other, deepen their mutual understanding and develop friendships through sports activities, and laying out a good foundation for the exchange and cooperation in sports for both regions.
