“2018 Family Sports Day” was organized by the Sports Bureau and was co-organized by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macao, the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, and the Women's General Association of Macau. The event took place on June 10 at Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion, attracting more than 3,500 participants. The atmosphere during the event was warm and lively.

The hosting organizations hoped to enhance children's self-confidence, to foster the development and collaboration between parents and their children, to cultivate the spirit of teamwork, and to facilitate harmonious relationships in families by hosting family-based activities.

The guests attending this event included the President of the Sports Bureau Pun Weng Kun, the Division Head of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau Wong Ka Kei, the President of the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macao Leong Wai Fong, the Vice President of the General Union of Neighbors' Associations of Macao Che Mei Leng, the Vice President of the Women's General Association of Macau Cheong Pui Peng, the Vice Presidents of the Sports Bureau Lao Cho Un and Lam Lin Kio, and the members of the Sports Committee, among others.

There were three age groups in this event: Group A (7-10 years), Group B (4-6 years), and Group C (2-3 years). Each participant was engaged in two sports and leisure competitive activities in which they competed for the champion award, the second place award, the third place award, the fourth place award and six merit awards.
