The Sports Bureau held the “2018 Summer Competition Festival” at the hockey field of the Olympics Sports Center on July 8. The event was conducted in the form of group-based competitions. This year was the first time when the sports authorities from the Metropolitan Area of the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Greater Bay Area were invited to participate. There was scorching heat on the day of the event, but all participants spent their time joyfully on that Sunday despite the weather.
The competitions took place in several rounds, with the additional Greater Bay Area friendly match. Each entrant team dispatched five members to compete. With timing applied, entrants needed to get through the barriers on the lanes and complete certain missions. After a series of intense competitions, ten winning teams and three winning teams in Friendly match of Greater Bay Area were decided successfully. Prizes were also awarded on the spot.
The results of the competitions are the following: Champion Zhongshan Team, 2nd Place Sun Hua A, 3rd Place Jiangmen Team, 4th Place Macao Fujian Sports General Association – Silver Star Team. Greater Bay Area friendly match Champion Zhaoqing Team, 2nd Place Foshan Team, 3rd Place Jiangmen Team.
