The finals of the men's and women's group of the Men's and Women's Senior Table Tennis Singles Macao 2019 took place in the evening on January 7. Cheong Chi Cheng and Chang Hoi Wa competed intensively in seven matches. Eventually, Cheong Chi Cheng won the men's singles champion with 4:3. Chong Weng I, after having lost the first two matches, caught up in the next four consecutive matches and defeated Tao Chong with 4:2.

Cheong Chi Cheng, who had just won the“Ho In Cup”champion, underwent all the matches successfully and encountered Cheng Hoi Wa in the final and competed intensively. After losing the first two matches with 6:11, Cheong Chi Cheng changed his strategies and had an edge over his opponent. He won in three consecutive matches with 11:6, 11:9 and 11:8. Cheng Hoi Wa, who had lagged behind with 2:3 in matches, reversed the situation. He won a match with 11:7. In the final, Cheong Chi Cheng and Cheng Hoi Wa had an edge over the other alternatively. As they tied at 9:9, Cheong Chi Cheng overcame the pressure at the key moments, scored twice more and won the match with 11:9. He won with 4:3 in matches and the champion in the Senior Singles again after losing last year. Cheng Hoi Wa won the second place.

In the final of the women's singles, Chong Weng I, who had also been the champion in the“Ho In Cup”women's singles, lost two consecutive matches with 5:11 and 3:11. She then reversed since the third match and won four consecutive matches with 11:7, 11:2, 11:3 and 11:9, defeating Tao Chong with 4:2 in matches and winning the champion.
