The General Association of Athletics of Macau hosted the first race of the“2019 Long Distance League”on March 17, attracting 1,046 runners to participate. Wong Kuan was the first one who crossed the finishing line in the men's open category, winning the champion title consecutively. Wu Yang Yang, who participated in the race on behalf of the Public Security Force for the first time, won the champion in the women's open category.

The first race began at Avenida Marginal Flor de Lotus. Wong Kuan made his all-out effort and finished the 7.9-kilometer route within the shortest time 25 minutes 46 seconds, winning the champion title. Chan Kai Un, who lagged behined by about 1 minute, won the second place. Kuok Chi Wai won the third place. In the women's open category, Wong San San, who won the champion in the Chinese New Year's Eve, and Wu Yang Yang, were leading alternatively in the beginning section. The situation changed in the middle and final section as Wu Yang Yang gradually led by an increasing margin and won the champion title with 32 minutes 17 seconds. Wong San San finished 17 seconds later and won the second place. The third place went to Wong Ka Sim.
