The Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR government and the Culture, Broadcast, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Zhuhai City signed“Zhuhai-Macao Sports Cooperation Framework Agreement”in 2017, as a way to take part in the construction of “Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area”, actualize beneficial complementarity between regions and share sport-related resources. This strengthens the communication and cooperation between Zhuhai and Macao in sports and facilitates the synergic development of sport-related affairs in between. Under the Cooperation Framework Agreement, the Sports Bureau organized teenage athletes of two events, table tennis and football, to participate in the “Zhuhai-Macao Teenage Sports Exchange Activities”in Zhuhai on June 30, engaging in exchange, training and contests with the teenage athletes there.

The sports ministries of both Zhuhai and Macao hope to deepen the understanding between teenage athletes of the two regions and jointly enhance their skill levels in these exchange activities. In addition, the partnership between the two regions in sports will be further strengthened to facilitate the development of sport-related affairs, laying good foundations for future collaboration.
