The “Macao Grassroots Day”and“Macao Football Day 2019”were held from July 7 to 8, in order to strengthen the cohesion of Macao's grassroots football community and facilitate the development of Macao's football exercise.

The“Macao Grassroots Football Day”, jointly hosted by the Sports Bureau, Municipal Affairs Bureau, Federation of Women's General Associations of Macao and Macau Football Association, took place on July 7 at Dom Bosco Sports Centre - Football Pitch. The event targeted children aged between 5 and 12. Over 150 people participated in this event. The event featured bodily coordination, interesting games and practices and small competitions, aiming to nurture children's interest in football exercise and involve as many people as possible in football exercise.

The Macau Football Association held the“Macao Grassroots Football Day”on September 8 at Macao Stadium, Taipa. The grassroots activities targeting children were arranged in the morning, involving 120 participants and featuring small competitions and interesting practices. Several friendly matches were arranged in the afternoon. Ten teams, including Sports Journalists Association Team, Veteran Football Players General Team, Registered Coach Team, Guest B Team, 1990s Macao Team, Macao Women's Football Team, Football Referee Team, Guest A Team, DSEJ Team and Municipal Affairs BureauTeam, participated in the matches in two divisions. Senior citizens, the middle-aged and the young enjoyed themselves in football games.
