To prepare for the preliminary works of the construction of the athlete training centre, Vice Presidents of the Macao Sport Development Board José Tavares and Pun Weng Kun led a delegation to conduct observations in Singapore from 9th to 12th May. The delegation of seven members visited the competition and training venues to be used for the 1st Youth Olympic Games in mid-August. In addition to various training facilities including the outdoor sports grounds and indoor stadium of Nanyang Technological University; community recreational facilities, the delegation also visited the rehabilitation and training centre for elite athletes and sports schools in Singapore.

Delegates used this opportunity to observe advanced sports facilities in Singapore and learn about modern management and operation modes of environmentally friendly facilities. The information gathered will help in the construction preparation and future operation of the athlete-training centre in Macao.
