In order to further broaden the scope of promotion of Sport for All, and to offer more opportunities for residents to participant in Sport for All activities, Macao Sport Development Board continues with the organization of the Sport for All Fitness and Recreation Classes, as well as launching a more diverse range of activities to meet various needs of the public.
The activities of the Sport for All Fitness and Recreation Classes in this phase include: 5 aquatic sports, 11 ball games, 5 fitness exercises for toodlers and kids, 19 dance sports and aerobic dances classes, 3 kinds of board games classes; 6 martial arts classes for kids as well as Tai Chi and yoga. Other acitivities such as artistic cycling, figure skating, fitness exercise with equipment, as well as development activities such as swimming and badminton for the hearing and mentally impaired and the disabled. In addition, the Board also co-organized, with various sports associations to provide , aqua aerobics, Qi Gong, and line dance classes, etc. In this phase, new activities such as standard dance, aerobic dance for body shaping and aerobic dance classes.
Registration for the second phase of the Sport for All Fitness and Recreation Classes in year 2011 took place on 18th March followed by ballot and enrollment . This phase of the Sport for All Fitness and Recreation Classes (March and April) accommodated 4,500 students in total, offering a much more comprehensive and diverse range of activities.
