Visiting Macao to participate in the “20^th Asia Table Tennis Championship”, the Chinese National Table Tennis Team was invited to attend the exchange activities held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome on February 21^st - the day before the Championships. It was hoped that, through the exchange, the national team could instruct the younger players of the Macao Youth Table Tennis Academy, thereby helping to promote table tennis in Macao.

Participants of the exchange trip included the men’s world number one player Ma Long, the men’s world number two player, Zhang Ji Ke, the men’s world number three player, Wang Hao, women’s world number one player, Ding Ning, world number two female player Liu Shi Wen, and world number three female player Guo Yan, as well as Ma Lin, Guo Yue and Li Xiao Xia. Altogether 28 students from the Macao Youth Table Tennis Academy had the opportunity to learn from the experienced players on the national team and they were extremely happy to have had the chance to get closed to their idols and admire their graceful style, as well as the chance to practice with them. The young players who were fortunate enough to play with the national masters described it an extraordinary experience to compete with the national team.
