The 2012 10th SportAccord Convention was held in Quebec, Canada from May 21st to 25th. Macao Sport Development Board through the setting up of a promotion booth as well as through a series of meeting and exchanges held at the convention, presented to participants from International Olympic Committee and the international sporting community, the latest development of sport in Macao. In addition, the convention also served as a channel to promote Macao as an international city and enhance its international image in a positive and significant manner.
This year, there were 120 exhibitors from different countries and regions, representing government sports departments, tourism departments, the SportAccord International Sports Federation, National Olympic Committees, sports services companies, sports equipment suppliers, sports organizations, and sports media. Altogether, more than 1,650 participants took part in this event.
SportAccord and the International Olympic Committee held various meeting sessions, city forums and other related activities during the Convention. Staff from the Macao Sport Development Board participated in some of the aforementioned activities and were able to conduct extensive discussions and exchanges with the participants and organization present.
