Co-organized by the Beijing Sports Administration and the Macao Sport Development Board, the “Beijing-Macao Youth Sports Exchange Activities” was held at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion on 11th July, which was the very first exchange activity implemented after the “Beijing-Macao Sports Exchange and Cooperation Agreement” was signed.
Dispatched by the Beijing Sports Exchange Delegation, the Beijing Wushu team and students from the Beijing ShiChaHai Sports School conducted a series of collective boxing and group weapons performances and other wushu exchanges with local youth wushu team and students from the Youth Martial Arts School. Performances by the Beijing Sports Exchange delegation team included “Amazing Power of Beijing Wushu”, Jiu-Jitsu performance, traditional fists and weapons exercises and the Beijing Kungfu Spectacle – ShiChaHai, with Macao Youth Wushu School performing collective boxing and collective nunchakus and the Dragon & Lion Dance performed by the Law-Leung Athletic Association. The fabulous performances by 150 youth wushu students from the two cities were highly appreciated by more than 1,500 audience including young students, parents and local citizens.
The activity, with the theme as Wushu, was the first mutual exchange project. In the near future, more and more exchange cooperation will be further promoted and the mutual understanding of the two cities shall be deepened, therefore to foster sports development of both places together.
