Organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government in association with the Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province and the Macao Sport Development Board of the Macao SAR Government, the 7th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Basketball Exchange was held at Hong Kong Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on 8th January in two consecutive days. The activity was attended by the parents of the athletes and the public, who cheered up the players on the court with a bustling excitement.
The event unfolds according to framework of the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Sports Development and Cooperation Agreement”, with the aim to further deepen the sports exchange among the three regions, so as to foster sports reserve talents and provide them with opportunities for more game participations.
After two days of intense contest, the host team Hong Kong won the men’s and women’s champions, while the Guangdong teams were awarded with the first runners-up and Macao teams the second.
