May Day Hac Sa Beach Concert was organized by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, co-organized by the Macao Sport Development Board, the Marine and Water Bureau and several local associations. The event, held in the Hac-Sa Beach in Coloane on May 1st, offered the public an opportunity to enjoy outdoor air and water sports during the summer, to relieve the stress of living in a metropolis, to develop both physically and mentally and to improve harmonious parent-child relationship.

May Day Hac-Sa Beach Concert, held from 2 to 6 pm, invited well-known singers from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, China. Besides performing great songs and dance, they also played beach games with the audience. The atmosphere was charged with excitement.

Besides the great performances, participants could also enjoy recreational activities, including beach games, painting workshop for children, remote control car experience, game booths, aquatic activities (banana boat, jetski, flying buoy and sailboat). There were also many beach competitions on the day, namely the beach soccer tournament, the beach volleyball tournament, the beach handball tournament, the beach treasure hunt and the sand sculpting competition. A huge crowd was there to cheer up the competitors. The competitions tested the participants’ observation ability, agility and team spirit. In addition, the Marine and Water Bureau set up a booth at the site promoting beach safety and knowledge, and to raise the public awareness on beach safety by playing games.

The large scale concert and the series of beach activities were to offer enjoyment in wonderful music, aquatic activities and family workshop to the public, filling this holiday with memory and fun.
