To encourage and commend the Macanese athletes that obtained excellent results in all major sports events from January 2013 to April 2014, the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China established the “Bank of China Sports Scholoarship to Outstanding Athletes” with the full support of Bank of China (Macao Branch) and held the award ceremony of “Bank of China Sports Scholarship to Outstanding Athletes for 2013/2014” and banquet in the evening of 30th June this year.

Scholarships were awarded to a total of 152 athletes from 13 sports associations in Macao. They have all participated in several international individual or team sports events during January last year and April this year, and ranked among the top three in the events.

Guests participating in the award ceremony included: Mr. Edmund Ho Hau-Wah, Vice President of National Committee of CPPCC and Honorary President of the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macao (SOCM), Mr. Ye Yi-xin, General Manager of Bank of China Macao Branch, Mr. Ma Iao Hang, President of Member Congress of SOCM, Mr. Lo Keng Chio, President of SOCM, Mr. José Tavares, President of the Macau Sport Development Board, Mr. Pun Weng Kun, Vice President of the Macao Sport Development Board, Mr. Lou Pak Sang, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, Mr. Ip Sio Kai, Deputy General Director of Bank of China Macao Branch, Mr. Vong Iao Lek, Vice President of SOCM and President of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, Mr. Chan Chak Mo, Secretary General of SOCM and Mr. Ma Chi Seng, President of Youth Committee of SOCM.
