Organized by the Macao Bodybuilding and Fitness Association, the 48th Asian Bodybuilding Championships was held from 26th August to 1st September at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion. This year it made a new record by attracting more than 350 participants from 29 countries and regions. 16 male and 1 female bodybuilders from Macao have taken part in the event.

In recent years, bodybuilding and fitness sport are becoming increasingly popular in Macao. The Asian Bodybuilding Championships 2014 being held in Macao, it gave the local athletes an opportunity to compete with the world-class athletes from Asian countries, and to evaluate the results of their tough training.

This time the Macao team achieved its best results at international bodybuilding competitions with one gold medal (Iao Chong Wa), one silver medal (Lam Keng Hou) and five bronze medals (Chong Ka Lap, Lei Ka Hou, Pang Chi Man, Ieong Weng Kuan and Iam Hoi Kun).
