“Youth sports exchange activities between Fujian and Macao” were carried out under the framework of “Sports Exchange and Cooperation Letter of Intent between Fujian Province, China and Macau” signed by the Macau Sport Development Board and the Sports Bureau of Fujian Province. This year the MSDB organized a delegation of 22 young athletes to visit Fujian to conduct exchange activities between June 28 and July 1 in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. The delegation practiced badminton and table tennis with the young athletes from Fuzhou City.

The sports sectors of Fujian and Macao have always been maintaining good cooperation relationship, fulfilling the goal in the letter of intent. The youth sports activities between Fujian and Macao created a platform for mutual learning, deepening understanding and friendship. Through this year’s youth sports activities, the youth sports exchange and cooperation of the two places had been promoted and the knowledge of both sides’ sports community had been deepened, serving a good foundation for further sports exchange and cooperation between the two sides.

During the exchange activities, coaches and athletes from both sides shared their sports training tips and experiences. Macao athletes had a great opportunity to be trained on the same field with some national youth champions; hence they learnt not only sports techniques but also the learning attitudes towards sports training.
