Macao Sport Development Board signed the Sport for All Co-operation Agreement on 13th February 2015 with the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macao, the Macao Federation of Trade Unions and the Women’s General Association of Macao, in the multifunction room on the 3rd floor of the Olympic Sport Centre Stadium, to further broaden the scale of Sport for All in Macao.
Macao Sport Development Board strives for the promotion of Sport for All, providing a wide range of sports activities to create a good atmosphere for sports and encouraging the general public to develop the habit of regular exercise, thus achieving a ‘lifelong sports’ lifestyle. To expand the scale of Sport for All development and extend the services to all social classes and districts, the Bureau co-operated with the three civil associations - the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macao, the Macao Federation of Trade Unions and the Women’s General Association of Macao - once again to reach the agreement for Sports for All in Macao.
In his opening speech, José Tavares, President of the Macao Sport Development Board, stated that since 2010 the co-operation agreement established with the three associations in the development of Sport for All in Macao, which provides a variety of sports activities, encourages the public to develop the habit of regular exercise and establish a ‘lifelong sports’ lifestyle. In 2015, the Bureau will continue to maintain close co-operation with the foregoing associations, and organise more sports activities to meet the needs of the public. They provide broader space for all Macao residents for activities and more opportunities to participate in exercise, so that people from different sectors of the community have the opportunity to join Sport for All and improve their physical fitness.
