The Summer Activities jointly organised by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Macao Sport Development Board offer Macao’s children and teenage students a wide assortment of leisure and recreational options every year. The Activities allow them to make the most of their leisure time to enrich their knowledge and experiences. This year offered more than 400 Summer Activities programmes and over 40,000 youngster-times signed up for them.
On July 22, the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Mr. Alexis Tam, arranged a feast at Mandarin Oriental Macau for members of the Youth Affairs Committee and the Sports Committee to further communicate with each other and improve their understanding of the ongoing work of the Summer Activities. The two groups shared their opinions on youth and sport affairs over the feast in a pleasant and harmonious atmosphere.
For the Committees to learn more about the Summer Activities, the government organised their members to observe the Summer Activities programmes on bowling, table tennis, DIY accessories and painting, among others, and attended an opinion exchange session afterwards.
