The 2016 May Day Sports Arts Show held by Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region and undertaken by the Sports Bureau was performed in the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion on 1st May. The Show has invited singers namely JJ Lin, Gary Tsao, Shin, Joe Tay, James Ng and Jinny Ng to present their good voice, and also invited the rhythmic gymnastics team of Beijing Sport University to present high-level gymnastic dance, which not only allow the public to celebrate the festival, but also raised their awareness in sports.
The Show started at two in the afternoon in Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion that day. The opening ceremony was presided by Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Pan Yundong, Deputy Commissioner of Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao S.A.R, Xu Ting, Director of the Department of Education and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R, Ip Peng Kin, Chief of Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture and Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau.
The rhythmic gymnastics team from Beijing Sport University took the lead to kick off the Show by presenting a wonderful gymnastic dance which integrated fitness with rhythm. After that, James Ng, who became popular in recent years, appeared on the stage to meet his fans. Next, Gary Tsao, Jinny Ng, Shin and Joe Tay sang songs successively, following which JJ Lin presented the final performance and lit up the atmosphere with good voice and hot dance. Lots of audiences were put in motion by the atmosphere and stood up to sing with the singer while waving their hands. Combining sports with art, the Show brought great joy to the whole audience and drew to a satisfactory close among audience's cheers.
