In order to enrich the leisure lives of residents during the Lunar New Year Holidays, the Sports Bureau continued to cooperate with the Association of Cycling and organised the“Fortune Bike Ride for the Year of the Rooster”, in which 180 participants took part. Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture, and Pun Weng Kun, president of the Sports Bureau showed their support and set an example by taking part in this event, together with a group of sports committee members.

    The route of this year's event took participants from the Taipa Olympic Sport Centre Stadium, through the Taipa Waterfront Cycle Track, across Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane and the campus of the University of Macau (Hengqin), to the final destination at Pousada Marina Infante Hotel. The total distance is around 22 km. A number of residents participated in this event together with their friends, relatives and family members, enjoying the atmosphere of the Spring Festival together, while putting the objective of “Let's Exercise for Our health” into practice.
