The Volleyball Association of Macao invited the Nepalese men's volleyball team to compete with the Macao men's volleyball team at the UM Sports Complex in the evening on 31 January. The Macao men's volleyball team was defeated by the Nepalese men's volleyball team, who had demonstrated excellent skills, by a score of 0:3. Ao Chi Weng, the coach of Macao's team, commented, “Since Macao's men's volleyball team hadn't competed with a foreign team at home, an international competition as such could help the players cooperate with each other and could help them come up with a suitable line-up and arrangement.”

The Nepalese men's volleyball team is primarily composed of players from the national team. Macao's team, as the home team faced with an opponent who has a powerful line-up, was defeated in the first match by 13:25 after an intensive fight. In the second match, the Macao team had changed a number of players, and once achieved 8:8 against the visiting team. Then the Nepalese team made powerful offensive plays and won another match by 25:17. In the third match, the Macao team started brilliantly to a score of 6:4, but the Nepalese team with their power defense widened the difference in score in the middle of the match. Finally, Macao lost in the third match by 16:25 and was defeated by Nepalese team by the match score of 0:3.
