“2018 Hac Sa Beach Summer Recreational Activities on Labour Day”, hosted by the Sports Bureau, Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, and Marine and Water Bureau in collaboration with various organizations in the Recreational Area in Hac Sa Beach, Coloane on 1 May, attracted numerous residents to attend the event where they could enjoy the sunshine and the beach on a summer day.

The hosting organizations had set up a ball game experience area, beach games, booth games, large-sized inflatable toys and water-related activities (banana boat, jet skiing and yachting), which were popular among residents who made the atmosphere lively.

Competitions including “Beach Football Open”, “Beach Volleyball Open”, “Beach Handball Open” and a Sand Castle Competition were also conducted at the same place where the event was held. All contests were completed successfully with the following results:

Beach Football Open: Champion Team“FG Club”, Second Place Team“Hou Keong”, Third Place Team“Golden Shine”, Fourth Place Team“League of Brothers”. Beach Volleyball Open: Champion Team“Tai Chap Ui GT”, Second Place Team“Im Chim Seng Mun”, Third Place Team“Habi Family”, Fourth Place Team“Red and Blue”. Beach Handball Open (Men): Champion Team“Coloane Neighbourhood 'Four Temples' Sports Association”, Second Place Team“Friends of Fat Kuan”, Third Place Team“Master Kang's Mercenaries”, Fourth Place Team“Sacred Handball”. Beach Handball Open (Women): Champion Team“Survival on Beaches”, Second Place Team“Fong Chong School of Taipa”. Sand Castle Competition: Champion Team“Senior 1 Science of Ngai”, Second Place Team“Team Wan Fong”, Third Place Team“Apple Tree”.
