The Summer Super 8, which was jointly organized by the Sports Bureau and the Asian League, was held from July 17 to 22 at the stadium of the Macao East Asian Games Dome. Having undergone intense competitions lasting for a few days, the championship match was held on 22^nd. Eventually, Guangzhou Long Lions defeated Seoul Samsung Thunders from Korea with a score of 78:72, thus winning the championship. 

In the champion match, Guangzhou Long Lions, who had once been defeated by Seoul Samsung Thunders in the group match, met the same opponent again. In the first quarter of the match, Ju Mingxin grabbed 8 points individually and Guangzhou Long Lions led by 23:10. During the second quarter, Guangzhou Long Lions kept pressuring Seoul Samsung Thunders and led by 42:33 at the first half of the match. In the third quarter, the Guangzhou Long Lions’ performance worsened, at which the Samsung Thunders took advantage and narrowed the margin down to 3 points. In the final quarter, the Guangzhou Long Lions seized the opportunity to score on repeated fouls committed by the Samsung Thunders. They scored penalty shots many times. Finally, they defeated Samsung Thunders with 78:72 and won the champion. 

In the 3^rd Place championship match, the Incheon Dongtu Elephants from Korea were challenged by the NLEX Road Warriors from the Philippines. Finally, Dongtu Elephants defeated NLEX Road Warriors again by a score of 67:62 securing 3^rd place.
