To celebrate the 19th anniversary of the establishment of Macao SAR and the 9th anniversary of the establishment of the Federation of Macau-China Sport General Associations, the Sports Bureau and the Federation of Macau-China Sport General Associations held Macau Sports Carnival 2018 on October 21 at the Tap Seac Square. Ma Iao Hang, President of the Federation of Macau-China Sport General Associations, expected to provide residents with more opportunities for exercise through this Sports Carnival. They will also learn more about the development of sports in Macao. As the residents are encouraged to engage in physical exercise, they will get into the habit of doing exercise.
The Macau Sports Carnival 2018 commenced at 10 a.m. on that day. 76 sports associations and sports clubs established 62 stall games on the site. They also displayed information about Macao sports. There were activities such as sports demonstration, photography exhibition, photography competition and lucky draw, which were informative and of a great variety. They attracted around 20,000 participants to join. In addition, on the event day, prizes for the Sports Carnival Coloring, Painting, Poster Design and Essay Writing Competitions were also awarded.
