Macao Wushu Team was sent to Burgas, Bulgaria to participate in the 3rd World TaiJiQuan Championships held from the 25th of September to 2nd of October. Cheong Pui Seng and Chong Ka Seng performed excellently and eventually achieved a brilliant result of two golds, three silvers and one bronze.
Macao Wushu Team sent experienced athletes including Chong Ka Seng, Cheong Pui Seng, Wong Kui Sin and Ho Pui Kei to compete. At first, Cheong Pui Seng won a bronze in the men's optional TaiJiQuan. Subsequently, he won a silver in the men's New Yang Style TaiJiQuan. Finally, he made progress by winning a gold in the Wu Style TaiJiQuan. Cheong Pui Seng individually won medals of all types: gold, silver and bronze.
Chong Ka Seng, who had not had the opportunity to compete in the Indonesian Asian Games, won a gold in the men's Sun Style TaiJiQuan, defending the champion in the same event where he had competed last year. In addition, Wong Kui Sin won a total of two silvers in the Wu Style TaiJiQuan and New Yang Style TaiJi Sword. Macao Wushu Team made a considerable number of accomplishments.
