Eventually, Premier League team Southampton FC won 4:0 against Super League team Guangzhou R&F FC, with goals shot by Adams, Lange, Valini and Carrana. Player from Southampton FC Jake Vokins was selected as the most valuable player.
Southampton, who came to Macao for the first time, scored swiftly during the first minute into the match, as Adams took advantage of a mistake made by a Guangzhou R&F FC player as he passed back. Seventeen minutes into the match, the goalkeeper of Guangzhou R&F FC made a mistake, which gave Lange a chance to shoot the second goal. In the 38th minutes, Valini broke through the defense line from the right and achieved 3:0 at the end of the first half. After changing players on the sides, Southampton FC continued to dominate. Carrana caught a corner kick and shot the goal with a header. Southampton FC achieved 4:0 at the end of the match and was awarded a prize for its excellent performance during the match.
