MUST C.P.K won a landslide against Cheng Fong with the result of 15 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in 18 matches, accumulating 47 points, winning the first champion in the Macao Liga de Elite and ending Benfica's consecutive victories after the fifth one. In the final match of the Football Association Cup, Cheng Fong tied 2:2 with MUST C.P.K within the 90-minute official time. MUST Chao Pak Kei, as they defended the Football Association Cup and actualized their dream of being the champion twice, finally was defeated in the final champion match. After gaining the edge, they were tied 2:2 with goals shot by Gomes and Cheong Ka Chon from Cheng Fong, leading the match to the phase of twelve yards. Meanwhile, Cheng Fong's goalkeeper Fong Chi Hang became the 'hero' and defended two goals during the twelve-yard phase, helping the team to win 3:1 and total wins of 5:3. They won the first champion in the history of the Football Association Cup. In the match deciding the third place, Benfica won 3:2 over Monte Carlo and won the third place.
