Macao bowling contestant Lee Tak Man proceeded to the masters rounds and elimination rounds and won the third place with the score of 221 in the 19th China-Taipei International Open Bowling Championships held from August 11 to 17.
Lee Tak Man performed stably during the two masters rounds. In the first round, he ranked the second with an average score of 226.88. In the second round, he obtained an average score of 222.50 and proceeded to the elimination rounds ranking the 4th. After he had defeated the contestant from the home team Chen Kuan-ye and the counterpart from Thailand Atchariya Cheng in the first elimination round, Lee Tak Man competed for the champion title against two Hong Kong contestants Kwok Weng Yeung and Loi Chin Hong in the second round. Lee Tak Man got 221 points and lost to Loi Chin Hong a margin of 16 points, winning the third place.
Chan Hei Io, who had proceeded in the youth group U18 preliminary as the 5th contestant, got 212 points and 207 points in the first round of the masters round. Then, his score remained above 180. However, in the fifth round, she encountered a contestant from Chinese Taipei who had got 245 points and Chan's final total score is 1,218, with an average of 195 points in each round. She was defeated and won the second place with a margin of 8 points.
In the youth open event, Macao contestant Wong Son Ian was once among the best three. After that, she fought for the first four positions against two contestants from Chinese Taipei Ji Yun-fan and Li Yan-wei. Eventually, Wong Son Ian won the third place with a total score of 1,223 and an average score of 203.83 in each round. Ji Yun-fan was the second place with a margin of 18 points. The champion title went to a Thai contestant.
