Youth Sports Culture Exchange Group Greater Bay Area 2019, promoted by the Macao SAR Government, sponsored by the Macao Foundation, hosted by the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China and undertaken by the Youth Olympic Committee of the Sports and Olympic Committee, took place from July 19 to 20. Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau, and Vice President Lao Cho Un were invited to this event. Ma Chi Seng, Director of the Youth Olympic Committee and the leader of the delegation, hopes that the interactive activities could facilitate the holistic collaboration between Macao and cities in the Greater Bay Area in the sports sector, leading Macao youths to be involved in the Greater Bay Area to acquire personal experience and develop deeper understanding.

The delegation visited the Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Film and Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau and the Guangdong Province Sports Bureau in this two-day period. They also visited places such as the Guangzhou Dongshan Stadium and Yuexiu District National Fitness Center, in the hope to broaden Macao young athletes' vision by having deeper understanding of the sports and cultural facilities in the Greater Bay Area and the overview of the development in sports-related industries there.

Ninety-three local coaches and teenage athletes from events such as table tennis, badminton, volleyball, swimming and synchronized swimming took part in this interactive activity. During the visit, the local teenage athletes engaged in exchange in two divisions. Athletes of the table tennis and badminton events competed with the students of the sports academy in Zhuhai, while athletes of the volleyball, swimming and synchronized swimming went to the Guangzhou Ersha Sports Training Center to engage in a friendly match with the provincial team athletes.
