The 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix (WGP) Council Meeting was held in Ningbo on 28th August. At the invitation of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the President of the Macao Sport Development Board Vong Iao Lek, Director of the Macao-China Volleyball Association Pau Ma Chong, and Deputy Director Che Tai Kuan attended the meeting. Delegates from different host cities of the 2011 calendar were also in attendance.
The meeting was hosted by FIVB President Wei Jizhong and WGP Council President Masao Tachiki. The FIVB reviewed the organising and refereeing of matches in 2010 and conducted studies and discussions on the rules, schedule and stages of the 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix. The organising committee comprised the Macao Sport Development Board and Macao-China Volleyball Association also reported to council members on the preparation work for the Grand Final of 2011.
Following the meeting, all participants were invited to observe the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix finals in Ningbo. The Macao delegation also took this opportunity to conduct work exchanges and acquaint themselves with the organising work and venues in Ningbo.
