The Second Meeting of the Sports Council for year 2011 was held in the morning of 9th June at the conference room of Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Cheong U, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture and President of the Sports Council.
In the meeting, members were briefed on the work reports of 2011 Summer Activity, Arafura Games and Public Sports Facilities Network. They also finalized the assessment guidelines for registered entities in the sports category and collected opinions on the public policy principles for 2012. At the end, the project group of the Beijing Sport University was invited to report to the Sports Council on the Research on the Current Status and Countermeasures of Macao Sport Development. The report offered analysis and recommendations for mass and competitive sports and degree of satisfaction of the large-scaled sports events in Macao.
Members present at the meeting made various suggestions and discussions.
