Commissioned by the Macao Sport Development Board, the Beijing Sport University and the University of Macao had conducted a joint research study on the Current Status and Countermeasures of Sport Development in Macao with the objectives of planning for the long-term and sustained development of sports in Macao, formulating the future sport policies and providing scientific rationales. A seminar was held at Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion on 9^th June. The project team of the Beijing Sport University was invited to brief the sport circle on the contents of this research report. 

This in-depth report offered thorough analysis and recommendations of the current development status and countermeasures for mass and competitive sports, and the degree of satisfaction of the large-scaled sports events in Macao.

Mr. Vong Iao Lek, President of the Macao Sport Development Board; Mr. José Tavares and Mr. Pun Weng Kun, Vice-presidents of the Macao Sport Development Board and Mr. Yang Hua, President of the Beijing Sport University presided the seminar. Leaders and representatives of various Macao sport associations, and the media attended the seminar to listen to the report made.
