The 2011 Macao International Kart Grand Prix was organised by the Automobile General Association Macao-China, with the collaboration of the Macao Sport Development Board and the Macao Government Tourist Office, and took place at the Coloane Kart Track from the 8th and 11th of December. The organizing committee held the opening ceremony on December 10th, and the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Mr. Cheong U, the President of the Macao Sport Development Board, Mr. Vong Iao Lek, the Director of the Macao Government Tourist Office, Mr. João Manuel Costa Antunes, the President of the Board of the Automobile General Association Macao-China, Dr. Lo Keng Chio, the KF1 & KF3 Race Director of the International Automobile Federation, Mr. Nigel Edwards, the Chairman of the Automobile General Association Macao-China, Mr. Chong Kuok Weng and the Asian Karting Open Championship Managing Director, Mr. Johnny Tan were some of the guests present.
The Grand Prix consisted of six events and nine categories, namely: the Asia Pacific KF1 and KF3 Championships, the Mini ROK, ROK Senior, Rotax Max Junior and Senior categories, the Formula 125cc Junior Open, Senior Open and Veteran Open. Over 100 drivers from Italy, Spain, England, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao participated in the event, competing for the trophies available in intense races. In the Asia Pacific KF1 Championship, Daiki Sasaiki of Japan came in first, followed by Jordon Lennox Lamb of England and Pedro Hiltbrand of Spain; in the Asia Pacific KF3 Championship, Nicklas Nielsen won the event, followed by Matthew Solomon of Hong Kong, China and Teruhisa Tanaka of Japan; in the Mini ROK event, Prassetyo Harja of Indonesia took home the gold, Veravich Wongsanganan of Thailand the silver, and Jakkarin Sirinonthanawech from Thailand the bronze; in the ROK Senior Event, Kevin Pu Jun Jin of China came away with the win; in the Rotax Max Junior event, Arya Gandhi of India took the chequered flag, with Cao Tianyi of China coming in second; in the Rotax Max Senior event, Cheong Chi On of Macao came in first, followed by Raj Ganatra of India and Chiu Shih Li of Chinese Taipei; in the Formula 125cc Junior Open Category, Sasakorn Chaimongkol won, followed by Franco Reyes of the Philippines and Daim Bin Hishammudin of Singapore; in the Formula 125cc Senior Open Category, Senna Sulaiman Noor of Indonesia came in first, followed by Mohammad Nasri Naufal Bin Nasir of Singapore and Sean Gelael of Indonesia; in the Formula 125cc Veteran Open Category, Freddy Numan Lawan of Malaysia took home the chequered flag, followed by Ling Chun Pun of Hong Kong, China and Jeffry Ibrahim of Indonesia.
