To incubate youngsters’ positive and proactive view of life and forge their steadfast attitude for unremitting improvement, the Macau Sport Development Board held ‘Sports and Life – Dialogue with Youth’ in the Tap Seac Multi-sports Pavilion on 1st November 2014.
Mr.José Tavares, President of Macau Sport Development Board, together with swimming athletes Chao Man Hou and Lei On Kei, track and field athletes Leong Ka Man, karateka Paula Cristina Pereira Carion as well as martial artists Jia Rui and Wu Nok In, wholeheartedly shared their struggling experiences with some 250 teenagers demonstrating how sports can make teenagers’ lives brilliant and wonderful.
Mr. Tavares talked with several in-service athletes in respect to their endeavours in their sports career, bitterness and sweetness under training and how they face difficulties in adverse situations. By means of this, they encouraged teenagers to build confidence and proactive attitude by participating in sports activities. The president also conveyed messages about sports policy to young athletes and listened to their feedback.
