Ao Ieong Sin Ieng, member of the first generation of synchronized swimming, stated, “I have never thought that I could win a medal at the World Series. I thought that it had been a dream even when I woke up the next day. Surely, we had gone through tough training and it was a bit fortunate that we won a medal this time in favorable conditions.”
Cheang Chak Sun, aged 15 and a fifth-generation swimmer, participated at the World Series for the first time. Objectively, she wished to complete her movements successfully, though she had never imagined that she could share the joy with her seniors as they had won prizes. “The movements shown in this freestyle mixed event were used in a competition for the first time. I had never imagined that I could win a prize with 74 points. We, as well as our coaches and all members in the team, were deeply moved by that as we had made lots of effort in training. Our effort finally paid off.”
