The 2018 Autumn“Free Sports Ground”Ball Games Competition, held by the Sports Bureau and co-organized by the Macau-China Basketball Association and Macao Football Association, attracted 162 basketball teams competing in the five different places held in this season. 88 teams participated in the football matches. The Grand Final took place at the free sports ground at Canal Dos Patos on October 7. After a series of intense competitions, the champion teams in the men's and women's Open Group basketball events and football events, as well as the overall Open Group champion of the year, were decided.  

As usual, the host and the co-organizers hoped to convey the message that sports and exercise are beneficial both physically and mentally and to enhance the public's interest in sports, through experiencing unique sports activities.

The results of the Grand Final of Open Group, which was a newly created competition taking place on October 7, are as follows: Team“Sio Lok B”won the champion title of the autumn free ground men's basketball event in the Open Group. Team“Fa Fa”was the champion of the autumn free ground women's basketball event in the Open Group. The champion team of the autumn free ground men's football event in the Open Group was“CABO VERDE”. The champion team of the free ground women's football event was“Giant Cats”. CABO VERDE also won the Annual Championship of Open Group in the men's football event, while the Annual Championship of Open Group in the women's football event went to“Giant Cats”.
