The Macau Dragon Boat Association held the 2019 Macao Mid-Autumn Cup Small Boat Competition at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre on September 8. A total of 119 teams participated in the competition. There were open group, women's group, U20 open group, bank administrative open group and public services group, special Olympics--open group and other groups joining the dragon boat races. During the competitions, many dragon boat teams from Macao competed with dragon boat enthusiasts from Hong Kong and the Mainland for prizes. They also interacted with one another during the competitions.

The strong local team, Fire Services Bureau team, defeated David Monte Carlo and Shunde Longjiang Huaji Restaurant in the open finals of the finale to win the championship. In addition, the Fire Services Bureau also became the champion in the public services group, obtaining two champion titles. The Chinese Taipei Taoyuan Dragon team, who participated for the first time, defeated the Macao Youth Development Association and the Macao SJM Lotus A, winning the women's group championship.
