The awarding ceremony of the“Macao First Division Football Star Award 2019”, hosted by the Macau Football Association, undertaken by HappyMacao sports channel and co-organized by the Macau Football Veterans Association, Macao Sports Journalists Association and Macau Jersey Collectors Association, took place on September 23 at the Macao Fisherman's Wharf. Numerous awards were presented in the ceremony and Duarte, who contributed to the team Benfica, was elected Mr. Football in Macao with support from the majority.
The results of the “2019 Macao Liga de Elite Football Star Election”, which was supported by the Football Association, Macau Football Veterans Association, ten teams from Liga de Elite and Macao Sports Journalists Association, were released on September 22. The awardees of the “Best Array” award, which was based on the “4-4-2 array”, were: Defender - Duarte (Benfica), Ronald, Lei Ka Him, Kam Chi Hou (MUST C.P.K.); Mid-fielders - Ho Ka Seng, Si Wa (MUST C.P.K.), Cheong Hoi San (Hengqin ISC first Monte Carlo), U Hoi Ka (Cheng Fong); Forwards - Diego (MUST C.P.K.), Gomes (Ching Fong); Goalkeepers - Baptista (Benfica). In the “Best Array”, the goalkeeper Baptista was automatically elected the best goalkeeper. The“Best Goalkeeper”award was obtained by Ho Ka Seng (MUST C.P.K.). Da Rosa João Augusto, who led Ching Fong to win the second place in the League and the champion in the Football Association Cup, was elected the best coach. Leung Chi Seng, from Development team, was elected the best youth player (aged 23 years or below). The“Best Shooter” award went to Gomes and Diego as well, who made 19 shots. The “Best Referee” award was given to Rubies.
