Jointly organised by the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau and Macao Sport Development Board, the 2010 Public Entities Sports Festival kicked off in May. Following over a month of exciting competitions, the Festival successfully concluded at the stadium of the Olympic Sports Centre on 4th July. This year’s Public Entities Sports Festival attracted a total of 50 public institutions comprising nearly 2,000 staff members, and featured both recreational and competitive events. The eight competitive events included football, basketball, squash, badminton, table tennis, bowling, tennis and swimming.
Held in Macao since 2003, the Public Entities Sports Festival – comprising recreational and competitive events - seeks to build team spirit in public institutions staff members and to cultivate the habit of exercising through participation in sports events. For many years, the Festival has been enthusiastically participated in by many local public institutions personnel.
The football, basketball and recreational sport competitions were featured as closing competitions of the Festival. The atmosphere of the competitions was intense and exciting, filling the venue with joy and excitement. All winners were determined and trophies awarded and the Festival was successfully concluded.
